Snap On Smiles
What is it?
Having the perfect smile is a desired goal in today’s world. While many people have the time and finances to construct a smile makeover with expensive dental services such as veneers and crowns, many of our patients simply are not able to afford these solutions. However, at Smiling Oak Dentistry, we believe that a beautiful smile should be an option for all of our patients. That’s why we offer a revolutionary, affordable procedure that provides a dramatic smile makeover: Snap-On Smile.
What are the Benefits of Snap-On Smile?
- Dramatic makeover
- Extremely affordable alternative to veneers
- No shots
- No drilling
- Procedure complete in just two visitsx
- Hides gaps, stains (also an alternative to teeth whitening), misaligned or missing teeth
How does it work?
Snap-on Smile is a state-of-the-art dental appliance that is pain free and requires no surgery or prep time. This one-piece appliance contains thin, tooth-shaped shells that are designed to snap on over the natural teeth. The appliance is made of dental resin that is thin enough to wear over your teeth and strong enough to wear all day, even while eating and drinking!
What is the process?
The process of getting this professional appliance is quick and easy. In just two visits with Dr. Jeff Gardner, you can walk out of our office with a beautifully enhanced smile!
The first visit to our office is the consultation with our dentist. Dr. Gardner will examine your natural teeth and together you will choose the style and shade of your new smile. Afterwards, Dr. Gardner will take impressions of your teeth and send them to the laboratory where your customized smile will be designed.
The second visit to our office occurs just two to three weeks after your first appointment, when your Snap-On Smile arrives from the lab. From here you will try out your new smile. During the appointment, Dr. Gardner can make small last-minute adjustments and when you are completely satisfied with the results, you are free to enjoy wearing it home!
Is it painful?
No! Nothing about this process causes any of our patients any pain. The first visit requires taking a mold of your teeth and this part of the process is also pain free. The appliance itself is comfortable and safe to wear throughout the day. You can easily remove the device at night and to brush or floss your natural teeth.
This is the only procedure that completely redesigns your smile but comes without any pain, shots or drilling. Veneers, crowns and bridges are all invasive, complicated cosmetic treatments that are painful, uncomfortable and take months to complete. While these procedures require removing parts of the natural tooth, Snap-On Smile allows your natural teeth to remain untouched and undamaged.
Will it affect my speech?
This snap on dental appliance fits over the natural teeth and can feel awkward at first. It can also slightly affect your speech. Within two weeks or less, though, you will adjust to speaking normally with the appliance in your mouth.
How do I care for it?
This appliance is designed to be worn during the day and can be removed for sleeping, brushing and flossing your natural teeth. When you receive your new smile it comes with a special cleaning solution, the appliance should be washed according to the instructions on the bottle. Be careful not to drop the appliance so as not to crack the resin.
What is the cost?
The price can vary according to the dentist but the average cost of Snap-On Smile appliances are simply a fraction of the cost of other cosmetic procedures. Unfortunately, this procedure is considered a cosmetic procedure and insurance does not typically cover these. However, the appliance comes with a 12 month warranty and we will work with you on financing options. You can expect the pricing to be extremely affordable.
